Kundalini Yoga

with Denise Arsenault

Kundalini Yoga stirs you up! It is fun, full of breath work, and always different — no two classes are the same. Kundalini brings together chanting, meditation, physical effort, deep relaxation with the gong, and powerful breathing techniques in an effective, energizing combination that reaches your True Self and supports healing for both body and mind.

Kundalini Yoga works on all levels simultaneously — the physical, the emotional, the mental, and the spiritual — making it one of the most comprehensive yoga traditions available. Students often describe the experience as both invigorating and deeply peaceful, leaving them feeling clear, grounded, and more fully themselves.

What to Expect

  • Breath work (pranayama) — a central feature of Kundalini, breath techniques are used to energize, calm, and transform
  • Kriyas — sets of postures and movements designed to work on specific systems of the body or aspects of consciousness
  • Chanting and mantra — sacred sound used to focus the mind and open the heart
  • Meditation — often guided, sometimes silent, always supportive
  • Deep relaxation with the gong — a profoundly restorative experience that integrates everything practiced in the class

Classes conclude with yogi tea, refreshments, and time for group conversation — a warm community tradition that makes the experience as nourishing socially as it is physically and spiritually.

No prior experience with yoga is necessary to enjoy and benefit from Kundalini classes. Beginners are warmly welcomed.

Chair Yoga

with Judy Archibald

Chair Yoga is great for all ages. Pre-surgery and post-surgery, arthritis, knee challenges, limited mobility, and the simple desire for a gentler approach to movement are all excellent reasons to attend this class. Chair Yoga makes the benefits of yoga accessible to anyone, regardless of physical limitations — and proves that you do not need to be on the floor, or even standing, to experience the transformative power of this practice.

What to Expect

Each class begins with a guided meditation and breath work to settle the mind, calm the nervous system, and prepare the body for movement. Students are then guided through a sequence of seated postures, with standing modifications offered for those who are comfortable and wish to incorporate them.

The class also includes:

  • Acupressure self-massage — students learn simple acupressure techniques they can use on themselves to relieve tension, improve circulation, and support overall well-being between classes
  • Strengthening exercises — gentle movements designed to build functional strength, improve balance, and support independence in daily life
  • Breath awareness throughout — conscious breathing is woven through the entire class, amplifying the benefits of every movement

Chair Yoga is a supportive, non-competitive environment where every student progresses at their own pace. Judy brings over many years of experience and a deep commitment to making yoga accessible, practical, and joyful for all who come through the door.
